Zapak Digital Entertainment always comes out with games based on upcoming movies and events. This time around, the company has launched a game called ‘Cash Back’, and as you might already have guessed, is based on Bollywood movie ‘Cash’ that releases today.
Cash has been directed by Anubhav Sinha of ‘Dus’ fame. This movie is about three unique diamonds, two teams of thieves and one big heist that results into a battle for the ultimate prize- the cash, but of course!
Anubhav Sinha, director, Cash spoke about the association with Zapak saying , “We are slowly but definitively moving towards an entertainment eco-system where it is becoming extremely important to engage the target audience of a film through multiple exposures across diverse media platforms. Structuring a promotional deal around CASH with ZAPAK is a win-win situation for both. While the film benefits from exposure to its intended target audience, users of ZAPAK.com get access to the film property before the film actually hits the theatres.”
Now that you know all about the movie Cash, without even watching it; you must surely want to know more details about Zapak’s game.
The objective of ‘Cash Back’ is to collect all the diamonds and reach the end. In the game, the player can steer the streetluge with the left and right arrow keys and accelerate with the ‘A’ key.
What’s more; if you are successful in Zapak’s ‘Cash Back’ game, your success will surely not go unrewarded. The top ten scorers will win music CDs and premier tickets for the movie Cash.
Rohit Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited, said, “Movies are a craze in India and fans can never get enough of them. Online gaming is gaining momentum and an online game based on a movie adds on to the already existing passion. A movie needs to befit the game which is being made on it. CASH is an action oriented flick and hence merited a racing game. The game ‘CASH Back’, is a unique chase-cum-hunt racing game, with a choice of three racing tracks, where the player has to collect diamonds while steering the streetluge and reach his destination in record time. This free-to-play game is in complete sync with the theme of the movie.”
“We have two games based on Hollywood blockbusters and one on a Tamil movie. This is the first game based on a Bollywood flick, for Zapak.com,” he added.
A while ago, Zapak had come out with ‘The Kireedam Game’, which was based on the South Indian movie ‘Kireedam’. The company also released an Oceans 13 game.
Well, the trend of developing these casual games based on movies is growing, as it is most definitely a win-win situation for both parties involved.
